The attached recording is from a new Byzantine choir based in the Boston area and directed by Rassem el-Massih, a graduate of the school of Byzantine music of the Archdiocese of Tripoli and el-Koura in Lebanon. The choir's focus is on the preservation of the traditional Byzantine hyphos as well as the use of compositions in the English language.

Rassem is an excellent chanter. I had the privilege of being at Hellenic College/Holy Cross for 11 days this past summer; Rassem acted as protopsaltis several times when he was there at the chapel, and also taught the group I was with some basic chanting stuff. Thanks for the recording.
